How do I start a session?

Open the app on your Apple Watch and tap the start button to begin tracking your session.

Why isn't my heart rate showing?

Heart rate monitoring requires an Apple Watch worn snugly on your wrist. During cold water exposure, readings may be delayed or intermittent due to blood vessel constriction. This is normal.

How does water temperature tracking work?

Water temperature is measured using the depth gauge sensor on Apple Watch Ultra. The temperature updates when your watch detects water submersion. Other Apple Watch models can record temperature manually.

How do I sync between iPhone and Apple Watch?

Sessions sync automatically when both devices are connected. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled and your Apple Watch is paired with your iPhone. Syncing occurs when network connectivity is available.

Can I use the app without an account?

Yes. You can use ColdPlunge without creating an account. Your data will be stored locally on your device. Creating an account enables cloud sync and backup.

How do I delete my account and data?

Go to your Profile in the app, then select "Delete Account." This will permanently remove your account and all associated data from our servers.

Is my health data private?

Yes. Your health data is only used for App functionality and is never sold or shared for advertising. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Troubleshooting

App is not syncing

Ensure you're signed in on both devices, have an internet connection, and that your Apple Watch is paired. Try closing and reopening the app.

Session data is missing

Sessions are stored locally first and sync when connected. If you see missing data, ensure both devices are online and wait a few moments for sync to complete.

Apple Watch app won't install

Ensure your Apple Watch is running watchOS 10 or later. Open the Watch app on your iPhone and install ColdPlunge from the "Available Apps" section.
